Born and raised in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains, I was never without little adventures in my childhood. From reading fairy tales on the porch, putting on plays and musicals with my cousins, playing church and dress up, music lessons, chasing after various animals, picnics, and begrudgingly playing assorted sports at different times, my life as an only child was full and nearly magical to me. I attended small town schools, and while I was very shy, I always had friends and support from more sources than I can list. I spent some time in college, then in missionary work, which was quite the life changer, and eventually married at 20. I divorced a few years later, learned about dating, rebuilding myself, and relying on God and forces stronger than myself.
I am now 30 years old, surrounded with love and laughter, and happier than I’ve ever been. My faith is strong and I am blessed every day, every moment. I am close to my parents, have a fantastic boyfriend, a little dog that warms my lap, and work to do. I spend my time digging through my piles of make up…it’s a collection, cooking for my loved ones, making plans, reading, knitting, watching true crime television shows, drinking coffee, and laughing at myself. I love music, being steeped in the faith and history of the South, and make no apologies for my perfectly imperfect life.
